A “weasel” is a slang term for a bad person who tries to benefit themselves while cheating others.  This often has something to do with money.  Weasels don’t steal but they do something in a sneaky way to get more money out of a situation.  Everyone hates weasels.

Here is a real native conversation:

Sara:  Did you notice that the last 4 times we’ve been out for dinner with Ron he didn’t pay anything?

Bob:  I know.  He’s a bit of a weasel.  He’s always been that way.
